There are different electric cords with different conductor configurations. Some I've seen include a stranded small tin wire for added support to the attachment of the cord to the device. It also helps strip the outer cord jacket. Depending on the looks and type of cord or cable, it may or may not connect to ground, to be verified.

SOURCE: Electrical wiring

The green is the safety ground, it goes to a contact that is directly connected to the body of the dryer. A dryer cord is usually a flat thing with the wires that have lugs crimped on them. Usually the power wires are black, and the neutral wire is white. It's usually difficult to put it on wrong, so if it goes easy, it's probably right.

SOURCE: Admiral Clean-O-Matic oven: Power cord black red white ground?

Your terminal block has been by-passed .
Hook your black cord wire to the black screw on the terminal block.
Hook your white wire to the white screw on the terminal block. Hook the bare ground to the exterior ground screw.
The 2 wires that are wire-nutted together will have to hook to the red wire on the cord.(they originally went to the third connection on the terminal).
You will probably have to cut and strip the red cord wire and attach it with the 2 wire-nutted connections.

We are experiancing probems with our agua view. The light comes on on the moniter but there is no video coming through. Is there a fix for this issue

i was having the same prob. so i cut the male conector part off the the camera cord and cut like 4" of the black cord part off to expose the wires. there will be 4 colored wires and 1 bare wire cut the bare wire off as close as you can to where you stripped off the black part, then expose the top inch of each color wire. OK now open up the back of the monitor, take the black female connector off you dont need it. you will see a 4 prong female connector part inside cut that off too, then conect the wires black - black / yellow - white / red - orange (i think it was orange) / blue - green . it sounds kinda complicated, but really easy, and now it works great! make sure you use electrical tape or something over bare wires

Wiring conia ccd4501

There could be two situations for you. For the wall outlet, you may have a four prong plug or a three prong plug. For a three prong plug the outlet has three prongs and the terminals inside match up with these prongs. The two slanted prongs on the top are the hot terminals and the red and black wires get connected to these (order doesn't matter but keep the wires matched up with the terminals on the same sides). The white wire is connected to the "L" shaped prong, the third lower prong. The bare copper wire is just bent out of the way. At the dryer for the three prong there will be three terminals 2 hot and one neutral. Usually, your dryer cord will have the neutral as the middle wire, but pay attention if your cord wires are color coded (where white will be your neutral wire). At the dryer there is a terminal which is connected to the frame of the dryer by a piece of metal. This is your neutral, connect your neutral wire from your cord up to this. The other two wires get connected to the other two terminals (order doesn't matter but keep the wires matched up with the terminals on the same sides). For the four prong its very similar but there is a small change, that bare copper wire is now used. The terminals on the wall outlet will line up with the prongs. The two vertical terminals on the left and right are your red and black wires. The "L" shaped prong is your white wire. Now the fourth prong, the one shaped like a semi circle is the terminal you connect that bare copper wire up to that is your ground. At the dryer for the cord (If its a four prong cord your wires should definitely be color coded). The terminal that had a connection to the dryer frame now will no longer have one. The terminal thats connected to the frame you connect the green wire to. The terminal that was connected to the "green wire terminal' is now the neutral terminal and your white wire gets connected to it. The other two terminals are where your connect your last two wires.

How to replace 3 wire cord with 4 wire cord

On the back of the dryer where the cord connects, there are 3 terminals for the connection. The two outside terminals are for the power wires, the two colored wires at the edges of the cord. The center terminal is for the insulated center wire of the cord, the neutral, white in color usually. There is also a strap that may be connected to this center terminal, that should be removed and bent to the side, The bare or green wire in the cord connects to where that strap is connected to the metal back of the dryer.

Mains wire at back of fridge has come out how do i re-wire it

Hi, are you saying that the main power cord has been pulled loose from all connections? Has any componants come along with it? Wiring a power cord is fairly an easy task if you are familar some what with wire colors for a 120 volt power cord. You should be able to take a good look at where it has come apart and reconnect the cord with wire connectors, as Hot would be black to black, and white is nuetral, so white to white and green for ground to the appliance. Now, If you have accidently pulled out the wiring from the compressor terminals, as the start, run, and common terminal, I need to no this to quide you through this, as there is also a overload relay that is wired through the common terminal to protect the compressor against an overload. Please get back to me if this has happened.
Sincerely,
