I have a Vizio model M60-C3. The unit doesn't turn on at all. It's done this in the past and I replaced the power board and have had no issue for 2 years. I would like to repair this power board but I cannot see anything wrong with it. Any suggestions?

It's possible the board went out again. Maybe check on the power cord and make sure it's securely plugged in.

If the TV goes in standby, then it is in protection mode.

Ensure also that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending
bad signal, check if you get same problem on DVD with no receiver box
connected.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible causes.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , starting the flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then the TV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.

On LCD Pay particular attention at inverter and power board, power board can be inspected looking for bulged or leaking capacitors, then tested with a multimeter. The inverter is more difficult to test , there is need to read voltages, should be done by a tech. Also the LCD controller board can cause same problem

Hello, This seems more like an interface problem then a board issue. Which interface are you using Component Video, HDMI or , RF(F Connector)? If you are using the RF (F Connector) there might be a problem in the tuner including the RF and IF sections on the circuit board. If you are using HDMI there might be a problem in the HDMI Integrated Circuit If you are using componente video the there might be a problem in the video circuits connected to the RCA jacks of the Component video input. If I were you I would have the take the TV back to the shop and have these items checked out, because board swapping is not the proper thing to do. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com

Logic Control D Board got nothing to do with this problem. This is your main power supply gone bad(usually not the sub power supply). I just repaired my VIZIO by replacing main power supply. Just remove back cover and your board will be right in the middle of the screen. Just get board part/serial # and google it. My best price was through eBay(around $100). Everything is fine now.

Problems with Vizio M60-C3 black screen after LED strip kit replacement.

You were lucky, only 99% of people here get a satisfactory results trying to repair their own televisions, even partially as you have.

The most likely cause is a bad connection on a ribbon cable or a dry joint on that board that you tapped. Try reseating the ribbon cables first. If that doesn't work, remove the boards and on the soldered side, look for gaps where the components meet the solder.

My Vizio M60 C-3 60 inch TV has no display. The power light on the lower left just flashes on and off.

Always start at the power supple ! Check voltages on the board after you have disconnected connectors to the other boards. Make sure this was done with power off! If supply voltages are good, reconnect one board at a time and recheck voltages. Likely one board is pulling down the voltage. Replace that board. Visually inspect each board for burn marks around ic's And transistors. Also look for swollen capacitors.
