SOURCE: Westinghouse LTV 19w3 shuts off

The same thing was happening to mine and the problem was in the power supply. Apparently, there was a loose connection causing it to go in and out. The round connector end that plugs into the monitor has two prongs on the inside. I was able to bend each prong toward the center with a thumb tack so that it would have a tighter connection, and it now works fine. Unplug from wall before working on the prongs.

SOURCE: Westinghouse LTV-20V4 turning on PROBLEM

I had this problem with these tv`s. As mentioned the problem lies with the power supply inside the unit. Some of the units i`ve seen have 2 blown capacitors on the power supply (C7 and C6 which are 0.227microFarad) replacing these works. On others, the capacitors as well as a few transistors
(Q8 - Q1, HSD965) are blown. But on all the sets i have seen with this problem, changing the above components restores full functionality to the system.

SOURCE: Westinghouse 32 in LCD TV

I have had this problem now for about six months with my Niko OPT-3211W. After replacing the Inverter card, VIT70002.00 as suggested nothing changed. I then read that it may be a couple of capacitors in the power supply, but I do not have the skills needed to replace them, nor do I want to pay to fix it. The solution is simple... turn on the TV and wait two to five minutes, then turn off the main power. I suggest using a power strip. Then turn the power back on in two to five seconds. The TV will come back on and it works great from then on. I thought that it was a freak thing, but it keeps working.

How can I get a new remote for my ilo tv

you can get a universal remote. an rca works great from walgreens or walmart. it will give you all the info. manual direct codes are 11286-11603-11684-11990. otherwise hold the power button along with what you want to program, and wait until the light comes on. Then press play every couple of seconds until the tv turns off. Then hit reverse every couple of seconds until it turns back on. Then hit stop and its programmed.

Tv not turning on

I have this same problem and I just fixed it today. I'm not sure where the problem really is but when i took everything apart and disconnected everything and put it back together it turned on and is now working! I still have one problem now, when i turn it off, the screen goes a bright white but it says that's it's off. If you ever find a solution to that please e-mail me at bmebme26!yahoo,com

My westinghouse 27 inch panel shuts off on its own but the front panel light stays on. You have to shut the tv off and turn it back on to macke it work again. It doesnt always work the first time

does it have any Eco settings, or auto shutoff after certain time settings. Not sure if they do anything about that, but there has been a handful of times over last couple years when my 32 in Westinghouse would either turn off, and not start, or simply not turn on. Had to uplug and wait a min a couple times. I have considered updating the firmware, but have heard so many horror stories about this on Westinghouse TVs I am afraid to try it. Just flashed new firmware onto my new Sony TV yesterday, no problems. Westinghouse has some funky issues with different hardware/firmware in same model TVs, and you have to turn off Autosource in power menu. So some peoples problem are probably cuz they didn't follow directions and bricked their tv. But some who suceeded and said it was easy no problem, still ended up with other new issues, and a firmware update is irreversible. If it only happens once in a while, I say live with it, or brave the firmware and give that a shot. I haven't tried Westinghouse support, but have heard it is less than desirable.

Drop me a line if ya want,

My hdtv 46 inch Westinghouse TV lost video in the middle of a program. I have checked all connections, turned off the TV and turned it back on and nothing works. Can you help?

Westinghouse are throw away TV's and it is most likely the case you will want to replace it. How long have you had it. If its still under warranty use that otherwise you will need to replace it.
Thanks,
Lee

I fixed it by powering off the tv and waiting a couple of minutes and powering it back up. I should have thought of that first!
