If the washing machine is full of water then the easiest way to empty the tub is to take the outlet pipe and take it out of either the sink connection or from the plastic pipe and place it into a tray as low to the ground as possible the water should come out and this usually relieves the pressure of anything jammed if not I have always found that it will come out if you pull harder. This does not damage the washer and I have done plenty of blocked trap catches like this. If the water does not drain then there is usually a blocked from either a sock in the pump or the drain hose is blocked which means you are better taking it outside to take the sump hose off from the middle of the drum underneath

SOURCE: Slow draining tub.

You need to run a snake through the overflow. I'm sure there is hair that is caught in it. You remove the overflow cover. The p-trap is just about 8 to 12 inches below. There isn't a need to go any further but it doesn't hurt.

SOURCE: Kenmore dishwasher 16029 does not drain

There probably is something in the pump... sometimes you can take the drain hose off the sink end and run water backwards into the dishwasher and dislodge the problem...

SOURCE: (Samsung WF330ANW) The front-mounted debris filter

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
If I understand you correctly that the filter cap does not come off easily try pouring anticalc/limescale fluid into any gap there is around the cap. Empty the machine and you can switch it off providing the door is open! Then pour the contents of at least 2 sachets of proprietary anticalc powder/liquid into the drum direct together with a kettle full of boiling water. Leave overnight at the very least. The following day run just a spin cycle as then there will be no water diluting the mix. This mix will go through the filter and motor and is likely to help release the filter/cap. If you feel like it, do the overnight again. If nothing else it will ensure that the heater element is clean!
I had to spend a couple of hours gently turning the cap back and forth until it finally released its hold- but the filter did not remain attached to the cap by its rubber ring. More patience, anticalc fluid and all was revealed!
I now run an anticalc clean regularly............which reminds me..............!

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

I have a WFW87HE washer. Has a F09 and E01 code .was in cleaning cycle. just stopped and water is in drum up to seal. will not do anything now flashes door lock

The F09 E01 error indicates a long drain on a Whirlpool washing machine. The pump couldn't remove the water in a timely fashion. Sometimes the solution is easy. Unplug the washing machine. Open the washing machine bottom panel (on the front) and have a bucket nearby. Remove the cap to the washing machine drain trap. Remove any debris that is in the trap. Use the bucket if any water drains out of the machine. Look past the trap to see if anything is blocking the impeller of the drain pump. If there is, try to remove the debris. If any of the blades are damaged, you probably will need to replace the pump.

Replace the cover of the drain trap. Make sure that no wires are loose and try getting the washer to drain again. If the long drain persists, check your drain hose and stand pipe for blockages. Clean out any problems. Check the pump and the wiring to the pump and replace any damaged parts.

The parts diagram for the tub and basket area is available here: https://www.appliancepartspros.com/tub-and-basket-parts-for-whirlpool-wfw87hedc0.html . (Note: this is one of several models.)

I hope this helps.

Where is the coin catcher on a Kenmore Elite H3 washer

it is most likely the pump. you can remove the pump and debris trap easily, separate the pump from the debris trap by depressing a tab and turning the pump clockwise from the debris trap. the pump is a mag drive unit and is easily dis-assembled. ours had debris inside the pump, once taken apart there was some black colored fine sand inside that once cleaned out the pump returned to normal function. we bought a new pump but the old one still works since it was cleaned out, the rubber o ring had leaked letting the debris inside the impeller assembly. hope this helps out. it worked for ours

How do you clean filter on whirlpool dishwasher du1055xtpq4

The filter will be located in the bottom of the dishwasher. There should be a round cylinder. Just pull it up. Rinse off the screen carefully so you don't poke a hole in it. If you do you will need to replace it. It may be clogged with a hard white solid. This is from hard water. Just soak in a drain clean for an hour to soften and carefully scrape off with a wooden tool. The other filter is a larger 1/2 circle screen. Pull it out and rinse off. Finally - very important - check to make sure your washer drains. If you don't hear the sound of water being drained out of the washer check the anti-siphon cap that sits on your sink counter. Pull off the silver cap to expose the tube cap. Use needle-nose pliers to remove the plastic cap. Debris gets trapped in there and doesn't allow the dishwasher to drain.

What does oe stand for on a LG washer

Hello. OE on an LG washer is telling you it cannot drain. Start by opening the small panel on the bottom left of the washer and checking the drain screen/trap. If the washer is full of water you are going to need to removed the water from the tub by taking the small capped hose located in the same compartment, remove the hose cap and drain into a bucket. Afterwards remove the trap and check it for debris. If it is full of debris, clean it and install. If there is nothing in the trap, then you likely have either a jammed up pump ( bobby pins are notorious for this) or a failed pump that will need to be replaced.

Washer leaking from bottom

If this is a front loader, you can take the front panel off under the door and inspect the bottom of the machine, there is a drain and trap with a large plug and the pump. Both need to be inspected and the drain should be cleaned and the debris removed from the trap. Get ready for lots of water though if you take the cap off the drain.

The water does not drain during rinse cycle and stops

If you are using the factory drain hose housing that came with the unit then I doubt the line is to far down the drain. I would recommend cleaning the trap. If it is full it can impeded water flow and prevent the drains impeller from moving (mine sucked in a kids sock). Unplug the unit before proceeding failure to do so can result in severe injury or even death. To get to the trap you will need to lift the front end and raise it with a 2x4 or any strong support. Once secure you will see 3,1/4" hex screws running along the lower front panel (a changeable head screwdriver can work to remove =) ) Once out push down on the panel and front will drop. The trap is on the right hand side, it will be round with a screw cap. The cap can be hard to turn at first but will go with even pressure. You will want a towel or bowl to place underneath the drain, it will have water in it. Once open clean debris and check impeller port for blockage (is on right side of drain & can be seen once open). reverse steps (minus debris) to reassemble. I would recommenced a test cycle to confirm drain before replacing the bottom cap.

Hotpoint aquarius wmf940 wont spin or drain water out f05 fault how do i remedy this

This is simply a problem with your empty pump filter being clogged. The empty cycle is timed and if it can't get all the water out in time because the filter is blocked and slowing the empty down, then it will fail safe and won't step on to the final spin cycle with excess water in the drum. Your repeat of the rinse/spin cycle is giving it extra empty time and then the spin works OK.
You need to locate and clean the filter. Depending on the model (not sure which with the model you mention) there is probably a round filter cap on the front of the machine at the bottom ( behind the clip on panel on the bottom) Many models of this design also have a small hose to the right of the filter cap that you can pull out, remove a plug from and drain off any water in the filter before you remove the filter and get your floor wet, so take a look for this before you remove the filter and get soaked. Ofter that, unscrew the round cap, remove the filter and clean.

If the filter is not there, you will need to access the debris trap from the back of the machine. If there is no filter at the front, pull the machine out and you will see a roughly oval panel at the bottom of the rear of the machine. Unscrew the 3 or 4 screws and unclip. Directly below the drum, you will now see a rubber "Cup" like bulge in the black pipe, with a plastic tube connected to a plastic pipe. The cup is held in place by a large jubilee clip. Unscrew the clip, pull off the rubber boot to expose the debris trap (A conical plastic cage with a ping pong ball in it) Take out the ball and the plastic trap, clean out the debris and replace the trap and the ball (Note that the cage may have a slot in it that locates in the rubber boot, make sure it lines up, or it won't reassemble correctly). Now push the boot back onto the fitting at the bottom of the drum where it came from and tighten up the jubilee clip, making sure that it is fitted correctly (it too may have a small slot out of it that fits around a protrusion on the bottom of the housing).

Kenmore elite he 5t the code f21 comes on, the hose is ok.

This is a Long Drain Issue. Likely that something is stuck in the pump trap. Take off the mottom tree screws under the drum panel. This will remove the drum panel on the front. From under neither you can see the drain pipe trap. Unscrew the trap cap in the from. Clean out all debris and re-install. this should do it.
