Hi,
We taped over the back of a black ink cartridge in order to keep the printer from giving us a message that we were out of black ink. Made many, many quality copies, & then it ran out of ink - faded & ran out (completely blank) within the same 2 page print job. I purchased a new Brother LC51BK cartridge, but the print comes out faded even after half a dozen pages printed. I tried printing in color. The color is fine; even the blue printing on the page looks good. Any ideas?
The print heads don't appreciate being out of ink so the Brother printer has sensors to prevent that but the tape defeated that prevention. Maybe more cleanings or maybe a cartridge with printhead cleaning solution will help. Otherwise, I fear a new printer.
Is this an original manufacture print cart?
take it out and move it up and down as to get the toner moved across the cart.(make sure the toner is not to one side)
other wise you got a bad one.
