SOURCE: Brother Sewing Machine model:CS8150 bobbin thread problems

The top of the machine is not threaded correctly. First raise the presserfot then rethread the machine. Bottom looping is usually caused by a lack of top tension. There could allso be a bur on the hook.

SOURCE: Brother 2001 sewing and embroidery machine.

The fact that your machine is turning hard says you still have some thread inside the machine that is binding up and activating the safety device. It must turn easily before it will work properly again.
Sometimes the machine must be disassembled to remove these threads.

SOURCE: threading problem on Singer Sewing machine Inspiration 4206

This can be caused by incorrect bobbin tension or the bobbin is in backwards. Take out the bobbin and put it in according to the instructions for your Singer. If you still have the same problem try tightening the bobbin tension. Please ask if you have any questions.

Place thread spool on the spool pin at back right top of machine. From there, thread through 1) rear thread guide (little hook), 2) front thread guide (front hook), 3) down and up through the thread tension dial from right to left so that thread picks up the thread spring check (the little spring on the left of the tension dial). 4) Through the thread take-up-lever, from right to left (the little lever that goes up and down). 5) Through the thread guard and guides (one on the front, one on the needle arm). 6) Through the needle, front to back. Stitch issues

Find the tensions on your machine. Usually a screw below on the bobbin regulates the top stitches tension. Usually a numbered wheel on top--where the thread is around it--regulates the bottom stitches. YOU NEED TO ADJUST THE TOP WHEEL, test on scrap material, and if looser, you are in the right direction. If it is still a mess. turn the knob to a lower number.

I'm guessing it is because the tension is not just right, the bobbin might not be the right size, the thread type top and Botton might not be the same, or you just might need put in a new needle the right size.

I had sewing machines E6 computer bother a few yeas . Now I sewing , it turn E6 . what does E6 mean? Can you help me . How to fix it? Thank you.

Download a free manual from www.brother-usa.com and under support and put in your model number. E6, means that the thread is tangled, totally unthread it, now with the presser foot up, rethread, pull the top thread, now lower the presser foot and pull the thread, it should barely move. This will seat the thread in the tension discs. Read your manual before using, it will save you lots of grief. People love to skip this step, and wonder why the machine is not working right. This is one time you should take the time, it is worth it.

I place the fabric on the machine, lower the foot and apply pressure to the foot peddle, when the machine begins to sew fabric is pulled down and the lower thread tangles, the machine make a crunching...

This is easily solved. Before you start sewing make sure your upper and lower threads are long enough for you to hold before lowering the presser foot. If these threads are too short they both get carried down into the bobbin along with the fabric and cause a big tangled mess. Always hold your threads at the back of your work with your left hand then lower your pressure foot and don't release the threads untill you have taken several stitches. Keep holding these threads during backstitching at the beggining of a seam too. Works like magic.

The lower thread is getting tangled. I have changed the bobbin, re-wound the bobbin thread again, taken the bobbin out and cleaned the bobbin case.

Incorrect threading of the top thread can also cause lower loop tension problems. As can the wrong size or blunt needle. Try re-threading top thread first.

The stitches are really tight

If you can't adjust the bobbin tension, adjust the top tension. Also the lower thread needs to be pulled to your left (away from presser foot) before you start sewing, this avoids tangles.
