Color problem I just moved to a new home and after the cable guy came to hook up th cable, the screen has green spots in the upper left corner and lower right corner. What could have caused this and how can I fix it? We had digital cable before through comcast and never had this problem. This digital box is from Time Warner Cable. The picture is messed up even playing a DVD and not just the cable.

The actual color the head on a given cable is irrelevant as long as it connects an output to its compatible input.

Jacks on the electronics follow a common color code and are labeled for the color-blind.

Analog audio jacks are usually red (right) and white (left).

Composite video is usually yellow.

Red, green and blue are traditionally for Component Video. In other words, NOT SOUND.

A disconnected cable is usually a good reason for a signal to fail. But one should not guess where they go.

Get the basics set up first.

There is strong magnetic field around the TV. This may be due to the tower speakers or any portable radio kept close by.

Re orient the TV try switching OFF / ON at the intervals of 30 minutes. The built in auto de-gauser will correct the problem. In cable TV program if the picture is OK, nothing wrong in the TV.

Check with a different CD.

This is an LCD rear screen projection TV. There is a Red, Green and Blue LCD pallet that is mounted on what they call an X-cube. If all you are getting is Red and green then something happened to the blue pallet. Either the Ribbon connector came off or is loose or something worse. How hard did you mover it?
Another thought. How is it hooked up. If component then this may be the issue as component video connections are Red, Green and Blue. Just a thought.

CHECK THE REFRESH RATE ON TH OLD COMPUTER MONITOR AND MOVE IT TO A HIGHER REFRASH RATE IN THE CONTROL PANAL, MONITOR, PROPERTIES, ADVANCE SETTINGS

You might have the connections wrong. If there is component in on you tv(red,green,blue) then use the for the best picture. Other wise use the yellow composite video out to the yellow video in on your tv

Move any speakers or electrical devices away from the set. It could also be anything electronic or magnetic. Anything near the set that generates a magnetic or electromagnetic field could be causing the distortion.

well , yes , you have to purchase a DEGAUSSING COIL to take care of this problem and know how to use it (which its very easy) available at electronic stores (try EBAY) What you do is you place the DEGAUSSING COIL in front of the color spot and do circular motions while slowly stepping away from it . that should take care of that.

Try to replace the Logic Scan board on the upper left side of your tv. The part no. is printed on the board and you can order it from Panasonic's Website. Also check the Service Manual for the part description and part no.
