SOURCE: my freezer section of an LG frech door is not getting cold enough.

you would have to take the back wall of the freezer of (after it has been running a while) see how much of the evaporator is frosted up if none freon leak or bad compressor if just a little on top then a restriction. if you open it and the whole top above the evap is a huge chunk of ice i would try a dryer filter(its part of the sealed system)

SOURCE: frigidaire self defrost freezer is puddling water

kind of a pain to get to, but there is a cover on both the front and back of the fridge, if you remove one (or both) you will see a hose that goes to the pan that all of the components sit in, you will have to get pressure to it from the bottom side. I suggest a "gallow gun" available at your local home improvement store, you may also be able to use compressed air in a can from a computer store

SOURCE: The Refrigerator is 2 years old, and is no longer

Hi Chris,

The problem would seem to be that you developed a small leak in the refrigeration system. This is also assuming that you checked and cleaned the condenser coils which are underneath the fridge. Excessive dirt could also cause this, but from what you are describing I would say the problem is more then that and you have a leak...

The only other thing would be thermostat sensor issues, but then the compressor would be cycling and not running steady...

Damper problem.
This ice box has a damper which is controlled by a thermostat. When the fresh side be warm that damper opens and allows cold air to enter the fresh food section. It must be gone out. it is what i would check.

Please help ..my fridge is swelling on inside back wall where my shelves are protruding can anyone help please its a beko xx

Sounds like you have moisture in there and it's freezing causing swelling. Sounds like you need to defrost- really defrost your fridge.

Remove the food to somewhere else, FIRST unplug the thing, open the doors and use fans to blow air in there to melt any ice in the unit.

Be prepared to mop up lots of water.from the floor and keep emptying your pan under the fridge if it has one. This can take a whole day to get done and maybe a day and a night.

Repairman made service call and checked out the frigidaire. Said everything was ok except there was a leak in the inside water filter housing unit, so he went ahead and bypassed the filter since we have...

The filter under the sink should have nothing to do with the water supply to the icemaker. The "repairman" probably cut off the icemaker water supply by "bypassing" the filter.

My wife posted the information below and I would like to add more to the story: We have two identical Amana Bottom Freezer Refrigerators, Model:BRD18V2S installed in our Kitchen. Both fridges are in an alcove and stand next to each other. One fridge is used as the beverage fridge and othe other is used as a food fridge. At about 10pm she noticed that an entire bottle (600ml) of Gin had cracked and emptied into the refrigerator section of the fridge used for beverages. We do not know how long the spilled gin was in the fridge. She mopped it up and we went to bed. At 7am the next morning, the beverage fridge and its freezer were showing 71 Degrees F. and everythind including the ice had melted. (We have aftermarket external temperature gages that show the fridge/freesor temperatures) The food fridge uninvolved with the gin spill was reading 68 Degrees F

Possible start kit bad or compressor. Make sure condensor fan motor working. if not replace it. if ok replace start kit and if still a problem you can bet it is the compressor.

Frigidaire 7.5 cu.ft. Top Freezer the fridge part doesn't cool; freezer is fine.

It should be under warranty, retry he is probably right, run for 24hrs and it should work ok, if you ever defrost you should turn off for 24hrs and leave the door open. Regards Advisor
