I have a 2006 f-150 1/2 ton extn cab. the electric windows quit working. I am convinced it is a fuse on the main feed. Where is the fuse for the windows and what size ? The electric locks work fine.

There is a 30 amp circuit breaker. The concept of the circuit breaker is to "pop" when there is an overload but is supposed to reset after a bit. That is not always the case or you could have a short in the wiring of the windows cicuit which also includes the rear sliding light. If that is the case of course it will keep "popping" But like I said I have seen them get weak and just replaced them. The location of that circuit breaker is in the passenger compartment fuse panel. It will be in the number 401 position. I gave you a diagram of the fuse layout below. I hope this helps and good luck.

Hatco c-9 booster heater won't heat, 1 amp fuse keeps blowing

that is in the control cicut the contactor might be bad and taking out cntrl fuse.unhook contactor control voltage by unplugging from contactor tape off the two wires put new fuse in turn on power if fuse does not blow replace contactor.if it does blow you will have to isolate the next thing in the control circut maybe the light.you can buy resetable 1amp circut breakers at grainger for test purposes.sometimes on people I know I will wire in those breakers for them no more buying fuses.

Please advise wire and breaker size for this unit. Thanks Doug

On any piece of equipment look for the model number tag and check for something that looks like M.C.A. and/or M.O.C.P. (with or without the .'s after the letters) The MCA is minimum circuit amps which indicates the minimum wire size and therefore minimum breaker size as well. The MOCP is maximum over current device. This is the Maximum fuse or breaker size recommended for the unit. However, both numbers are more importantly linked to the wire size feeding the unit. You must be certain that the wire size is large enough to provide proper voltage without overheating and not put too large a fuse or breaker for the wire size. A good electrician or an electrical chart for wire sizing is very important.

40 amp gfi on hot tub keeps tripping.I have a 50 amp.can I use?

Your hot tub needs GFI protection because it is electrical, and people sit inside water that could be exposed to electric current.
You have a fault to ground that needs to be fixed.

Size 8 wire for 50Amp breaker.
Size 6 if tub is 50-100' feet away

How to setup a thqp250 in a box?

These breakers are 1/2 size and only fit in an area of a panel designed for these. The bus bars must have extra tabs for these breakers. Before 2008 you could only have 42 breakers in a panel, so only some of the slots were reserved for these. Secondly, since this is a two pole 220breaker it must be in two spaces. This leaves a 1/2 space above and below the breaker. You could add a single pole breaker above and below. Now compare these in size, is there any way they can be as good as a full size breaker?

What size breaker do i use?

at 10kw, that should be about 34130 btu's. With 240 volts, you should be using approximately 41-42 amps. Check the manufacturers name plate for breaker sizing. probably a 45-50 amp double pole breaker will work, also check with a licensed electrician to make sure that the wire is sized correctly for that unit. Hope this helps.
