If your television only has one HDMI port it is 20 years out of date. You would need some sort of HDMI hub. Technology moves on and Smart TVs are Now and the Future in Ultra HD.
Or just swap between Fire Stick and DVD as you need them.
t's possible that the 5-year-old accidentally changed the input source on the Samsung TV, which is why you can't get the Fire Stick to work. Here are the steps you can follow to switch the input source back to the HDMI port where your Fire Stick is connected:
Turn on your Samsung TV and your Amazon Fire Stick.
Using your Samsung remote, press the "Input" button.
A list of input sources should appear on your screen. Use the arrow keys on your remote to select the HDMI port where your Fire Stick is connected. The HDMI port may be labeled as "HDMI 1," "HDMI 2," or something similar.
Press the "Enter" or "OK" button on your remote to select the HDMI input source.
Your TV should now switch to the HDMI input where your Fire Stick is connected, and you should see the Fire Stick's home screen on your TV.
If you're still having trouble, try unplugging the Fire Stick and plugging it back in to make sure it's properly connected. Also, make sure the TV and Fire Stick are both updated to their latest software versions.
If yourAmazon Fire TV displays normally but you aren’t able to use any controls, first try troubleshooting the remote. For more information on troubleshooting the remote, go to Can't Pair a Fire TV Remote or Game Controller. Restart your device. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the device or from the power outlet, and then plug it back in. You can also use your remote to restart your device. Press and hold the Select Select Button and Play/Pause Play/Pause Button buttons at the same time, for about five seconds. Or, select Settings > Device > Restart from the Fire TV menu.
Make sure that you are using the power supply provided with your Amazon Fire TV device. Connect the included power adapter into the power port on the back of your Fire TV, then plug the other end into a power outlet. For Amazon Fire TV (1st and 2nd Generation), make sure that you are using a High Speed HDMI cable, if needed. The cable should say "High Speed", "1.3", or "1.4" on it. Plug one end of your HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the back of your Amazon Fire TV, then plug the other end into an available HDMI port on your TV. For Fire TV Stick, make sure that you use the included HDMI extender. If you are using an HDMI hub, disconnect your Amazon Fire TV device from the hub and try plugging it directly into the TV. Try switching to a different HDMI port on your television. Remember which HDMI port you used to connect your Amazon Fire TV device and switch to the corresponding input channel on your TV.
Fire TV Stick connections.... 1 Connect USB cable into fireTV stick, and plug in power adapter. ... 2 Amazon fireTV stick and power adapter. ... Plug the fire TV stick into a HDMI port on the TV. Plug in power for firestick. Change the INPUT to that HDMI port Main firestick screen should appear after 10-20 seconds
well there's your first problem right there !! fire sticks plug into a USB port not a hdmi port if your tv doesn't have a USB port then its not for using with a firestick
if its the model i think it is the lcd15-m3 then go into d.menu (about 6 buttons up from the bottom left) then using the arrows next to the same button go down to the last option which should be setup or settings and press ok.
then go down to instalation (again the last option) and press ok
then down to first time instalation (again last option)
Select yes and press ok, this will bring you up to your original setup page
(menus are the same in most models but almost positive that the model you have is the m3
When almost all TV stations went digital, analog TV signals received via an antenna all but disappeared in the United States. So you will not be able to get much, if anything at all without a digital TV connected to a cable system or a satellite system. Welcome to the new economy! You want it? You will PAY for it! Radio (first FM, then AM) will most likely be the next casualty of the new economy!
