SOURCE: Dishwasher does not drain, instead drains through overflow valve in sink. No apparent clog seen.

Usually the sink connection is not an overflow, it is the main drain from the dishwasher. It is more likely your s-bend is blocked under the sink- try putting a bucket under it and unscrewing the u-shaped piece and cleaning out (remember don't wash it in that sink while the pipe is off)

SOURCE: lg - LDS5811ST Dishwasher OE Error Code

hi
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD

SOURCE: dishwasher doesn't drain completely after full cycle

If there is any blockage in your diposal, water will comes up to the sink, since it happened to me. As soon I installed the air gap then it fixed the problem. No air gap, water flowing is slowing down conflicting with timed draining causing this problem. Let's think of this, if you fill up water in a 1/2 galon milk container, and you try to emty it. If you pull down straightly , it will be slow compared to pull it at an agle to let air going into the opening. The air vent helps water flow better meeting the timed draining.

SOURCE: Dishwasher won't drain when cycle

Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

Maytag dishwasher won't drain

Drainage problem of some sort is usually the cause. Could be blockage before your drain pump, in your drain pump, or in your drain hose. One possibility is that you just installed a garbage disposal and forgot to remove the "knock-out" plug for the dishwasher drain line. Another cause can be that you have not looped your dishwasher drainline under your sink and water from your sink is flowing back into you dishwasher. You must attach your dishwasher drain line under your sink so it is higher then your sink drain lines, creating a trap for your dishwasher. Your drain sump could be plugged, not letting the water get to your drain pump easily. This is caused by not getting loose or hard debris off your dishes before putting them in the unit. Also make sure your drain pump is getting the right voltage when it is supposed to.God bless youfa618d8b-d0fd-412a-b0d5-a88d44bf89d3.giffb1320dc-7bec-4cb0-98ed-c24cf54e5e3b.jpg

I have built in GE Cafe series dishwasher, stainless steel. Quite often it will leave dirt and residual food on dishes. What do I need to look at and/or what fix is there?

In case you do not have the user manual you can download from this site.
Refer page 18 for possible causes of unclean dishes. More often than not it is the drain filter or the kitchen sink drain outlet that is clogged. If you are using a garbage disposer in kitchen sink then make sure it is run before you start the dishwasher.

Hope this helps.

Miele G646SC Plus dishwasher Drainage / inlet warning light

Hi,

If the unit doesn't drain properly check for any kinked hoses and also check the drain spigot under the sink where the drain hose goes into the sink as these are not always opened up enough for the water to escape and a slight shoulder can then trap food particles and cause a blockage.
As for the base tray getting water inside the unit check inside the cabinet to make sure the top spray arm lock nut is tight and the ring on the side of the unit is not loose inside the cabinet where the water enters the unit. These two things can cause water to run down the side panels and into the base. The black hose i think is the overflow pipe. Also make sure you are not using too much detergent and the correct detergent as this can over sud and water can spill into the base. Hope this helps.
