The red light tell you there is a fault. You have to read the fault code and it will give you a general idea of the problem - to do this you have to enter the service mode of operation - close the door and turn the dishwasher on.
The Start/Stop light must be blinking. If the Start/Stop light is not blinking, press and hold
the Start/Stop button for at least 3 seconds to exit the cycle. The Start/Stop light should now be blinking.

Press and hold the Start/Stop button while turning the dishwasher on. Release the
Start/Stop button and immediately press it 2 more times. Flashing Intake/Drain and
Salt lamps and a lit Rinse lamp indicates successful accessing of services mode

Miele G892 SC dishwasher stops 5 minutes after starting with flashing inlet/drain light. The drain is working because it drains at the beginning. Water is also coming in. None of the holes in the spray are...

If your Miele G892 SC dishwasher is stopping 5 minutes after starting with a flashing inlet/drain light, there could be a few different reasons. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the water pressure: Make sure that the water pressure is within the required range for the dishwasher (between 1.5 and 5 bar).
  2. Check the inlet hose: Make sure that the inlet hose is not kinked or clogged.
  3. Check the water inlet valve: Make sure that the water inlet valve is not clogged or malfunctioning.
  4. Check the water level sensor: Make sure that the water level sensor is not clogged or malfunctioning.
  5. Check the control board: Make sure that the control board is not malfunctioning.
  6. Check the temperature sensor: Make sure that the temperature sensor is not malfunctioning.
  7. Contact Miele customer support: If you have tried all the above steps and the dishwasher is still not working, it may be best to contact Miele customer support for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose and fix the issue or tell you if a repair is needed.
It's important to keep in mind that the Miele G892 SC is an older model dishwasher, which makes it harder to find replacement parts and professional repair services.

This seems to be a failure of the main program controller unit.It needs to be confirmed that the unit received power, if so the controller is faulty.
Check if there is any fuse , check if there is line break to the unit.

Miele G892 SC dishwasher not heating/cycle won't stop

Miele have cold inlet only. Either element is open circuit, or the relay that switches the element has failed. My money would be on the element first, then the relay. The machine will sit in that mode forever as it is waiting for the temperature of the water to reach a certain temp before telling the electronic unit to move to the next part of the wash. If you need assistance in how to test & how to get to these parts just let me know. But you will need an ohm meter to test the element. Regards
