Further along with this issue: When I enter the account activation code from my LG in the box that asks for it. I get a screen that says among other things: "YouTube TV is requesting permission to: Am I understanding correctly that YouTube wants to be able to use my credit cards on file with Google Wallet and buy things "on my behalf" and do so when I'm not using the application? What sort of things does YouTube want to buy for me without my knowledge? Can someone please help clarify this statement in the activation window. The way it is written now, I cannot and will not allow access to YouTube TV. Thanks for your help.

You don't indicate model number or age of your samsung tv, although it's very likely you may find swollen tops on one or more electrolytic capacitors on the power/inverter module. The tops of the caps may bulge like those i've pictured. You will need soldering skills to replace these parts. Value and polarity are very important while replacing electrolytics.
