Question about Symbol Computers & Internet
It sounds as though your computer is set to the incorrect keyboard. I use a key board which I brought from the UK. The computer set me up with a US Keyboard settings. The @ symbol was hiding double quote " key. Short term I could press Shift+2 and get the @. What I did eventually was to go into Settings and change;
Settings - Devices - Typing - Advanced Keyboard Settings
So you have two choices
Change the keyboard settings
Go to the place on your keyboard where the symbol you see when you type is located on the keyboard. Pressing that will get you the @ symbol.
click COMMENT under my post if you need further help.

The @ symbol should be SHIFT + 2 if you are getting a different character, then you may have a incorrect regional setting. Go to Control Panel, and ensure that the Regional & Language settings are correct for your location and check the settings on each of the three tabs.
If all is correct there, then run the system diags Fn + Power button and see if the keys match what tehy show in the diags.

click on the IE compatibility Icon on the right hand side of the address bar and your att.net mail should come right up. I was going crazy with it since IE 10 updated on my pc until I read this trick from someone else. If your not familiar it's the small blue icon that looks like a torn piece o paper.
