SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet washing machine - no cold water

Check the tap is turned on
if not fix
turn off taps, check the lint screen inside the hose end (tap connector end) is not blocked
if not fix
check cable connections on cold water solenoid valve inside rear of case
if not fix
replace cold water solenoid.

cold water solenoid valve fails more often than hot, is used on every cycle so bnurns out first.
unplug washer and turn off water before checking cables or replacing solenoid.

solenoid is cheap, common to many washers local parts guy will have one that fits even if it is labelled ge frigidaire kenmore

SOURCE: My GE Profile doesn"t drain completly, leaving about 2" of water.

Sounds like a water level sensor is on the fritz. The drain valve is probably opening if the level drops at all.

SOURCE: My Whirlpool Duet ht Washer

The first thing I would check is shut off the cold water valve at the wall and remove the hose at the washer.carefully pry out the little screen in the inlet and clean well, reconnect hose and turn water back on FH is a water inlet issue I am hoping that what is happening is that when the washer starts its wash cycle it is probably filling with warm (hot) and cold water at the same time even though it might be mostly hot,but when it comes time to rinse (cold water ) there is not enough to make the computer happy and you get your FH error.. Hope this Helps,,If not your probley looking at a new fill valve assy

Water will come in at beginning of cycle on a Hot/Cold wash but not in rinse cycle?

because the rinse uses cold water and u may have a cold water issue with the water inlet valve, the water inlet valve cold coil may have gone bad. test it with a meter and voltage

Beko WMP652W washing machine will start cycle but get stuck at end of wash, doesnt go onto rinse or spin any help please?

see the next steps and use the common sense: God bless you
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

My Washer stops at the rinse cycle and will not continue. Fast forward to spin and it works. What might the problem be?

Hello, The problem is going to be one of two related problems . All rinse cycles use only cold water and either the cold side of the water inlet valve is not opening and the cold rinse water is not filling the tub and the washer will sit and wait for ever till the tub is full so it can continue the rinse agaitate cycle. If yo do have a warm rinse try that or try filling on the start cycle with cold water wash and see if cold fills,if not the water inlet valve needs to be replaced. I have included a video showing you how to do that. The part number for that valve is 285805 it could be purchased at your local applaince store or online at; searspartsdirect.com apwagner.com appliancepartspros.com repairclinic.com apdepot.com The other potential problem is going to be the filter screen on the back of that valve is blocked and needs to cleaned. To check that turn off the water supply and disconnect the hose, pop out screen and see if its clogged. Also check for water flowing from the hose when disconnected from washer. Good luck,i hope this helps you to fix your washer.
