My LG soundbar model NB2540 suddenly stopped lighting and now won't go on even when plugged to a power source. What could be the problem and how can I fix this?

Test the power supply first as a bad Capacitor or Diode could cause this. To test it plug it in and turn the computer on, when it cuts out unplug the adapter and check for voltage at the computer. If you have none the problem is the AC adapter. If you have voltage your problem is something on the board, most likely the CUP overheating from the fan not working or the fan not working is engaging the safety system to keep that from happening. The only way to tell for sure is to open the computer up and start testing the circuits. If any liquids have ever been spilled near the rear of the computer you'll have to check for shorts on the main board. Your going to need a multimeter and cooling spray for the IC chips. If it's a hot chip condition you can isolate that by spraying the ship with the cooling spray and if the computer comes back on you know that is the bad chip.

Have you checked the circuit breakers?
