Most likely this is caused by a defective main board. Changing the main board will fix the issue about 95% of the time.
To be absolutely sure, the voltages need to be checked on the power supply. If they are not the values listed in the service manual, then you should replace the power supply instead (accounts for the other 5% of the time).

In most cases is the screen is covered with vertical lines all the way accross the screen then the T-Con module is at fault. The t-con board is replaceable without having to replace the entire LCD panel which would usually make it cheaper than replacing the TV. The part number I come up with is 1-857-213-11. This tv problems it is alway the causes by the T-CON decodering board. That the board sit wright in the middle at the bottom of the LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-CON decodering board for the replacement. If this tv problems are causes and came on horizontal colors lines by itself only,if the causes of this problems are causes by a person or an object by hitting the LCD screen panel itself. It is not repairable, because the LCD screen panel it self are damages and the LCD screen panel it is dead,by leaking radiations.
