I trashed the toaster oven. Apparently even if you know how to fix something you can't get the parts. If you need to take apart an appliance to fix it, you can rest assured you cannot get a replacement part. This is our throw away society.

You cannot find this part anywhere! I contacted the factory that makes them in China. They won't sell you one. Minimum order is 5,000 parts. I told them I was interested in a large order and asked if I could get a sample switch. They sent me 3 of them for the cost of shipping!!!!

SOURCE: Oven has No Temperature Control

Yes they are servicable and you can do it yourself easily if you're handy. Go to smallappliance.com for parts, or just search "small appliance parts" and you will find a few places that have B&D parts. I'm pretty sure the thermostat switch is available for your oven. You will need the model # from the oven.

If that doesn't work then try this web address that will return a list of sites that sell oven parts.

My Oster toaster oven heating element wont turn off when ready?

A faulty thermostat or temperature sensor could be the cause of your Oster toaster oven's heating element not turning off when ready. You can try the following steps to fix the problem:
  • Check the settings for the temperature control: Check to see that the thermostat is not set too high. The heating element may not turn off even when the desired temperature is reached if it is set too high.
  • Get the toaster oven clean: Check to see that the toaster oven is clean and free of obstructions. The heating element may occasionally malfunction due to dirt and debris. You can get oven cleaner, https://amzn.to/3xlDd86 .
  • Check the temperature: The thermostat or temperature sensor may be defective if the problem persists. To fix the problem, you might need to buy a new thermostat or temperature sensor.
  • Contact Oster's support team: You can get assistance from Oster customer service if the problem persists after attempting the steps listed above. They might be able to offer you a solution or point you in the direction of a repair company.

What does error code e02 indicate?

I had one with the same problem. I found out that this was due to a defective temperature sensor (in my case anyway). The technical name for this part is NTC glass encapsulated thermistor 86k ohm. It is placed against the outer right wall of the toaster oven. if you look into the oven, there are 2 screws holding it( this device is on the other side of the wall and is connected to the controller via a 2-pin white connector. I replaced it and my toaster oven works fine after. This part costs about 1-2 dollars to replace. You have to remove the top cover of the toaster oven to have access to it.

Display will not come on oster TSSTTVDFL1 toaster oven dead how to reset it?

I found one of these on the curb. Took it home, and it was completely dead as you described. Took it apart, and there's a thermal fuse mounted above the convection fan that had blown. According to the data sheet, the fuse blows at 240C, but even if it never sees that temperature it will still fail eventually if exposed to high enough temperatures. The fuse is mounted against the chamber where it will get hot, so basically these ovens are designed to have a finite lifetime.

Anyway, long story short, you can buy replacement fuses online for a few bucks. It's a SEFUSE SF240E. Or just bypass the fuse. Keep in mind that the fuse is a safety feature that will kill the oven if it overheats, so keep that in mind if you decide to bypass it.

Oven temperature

Test and eventually replace the temperature probe. When the problem is not the temperature probe it is a faulty timer board.
