this will need to go into the shop to get one of the video processing boards replaced that controls that part of the screen , this will happen when it gets to hot inside the set ,( thermal break down)

there are two convergnece boards in this tv. one is called the convergence (DCU) the other is called the convergence amp board. this amp board has the (STK`S) on it and ids your problem. in most cases we repair this board.

Take the back off the unit. There are 2 20 pin cables that go to a small board that sits on the right side (viewed from the rear) spray the back of the plugs with contact cleaner and wiggle these cables where they plug into the small board.
