Hold down the hour button til you see the clock display blinking
you can then use the Hour and Minute buttons to program how long you want the coffee maker to stay on.
You can choose from 0 minutes (seems to be what you have it set on now) to 4 hours.

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.

Unplug it for 20 minutes or longer to fully reset it. At that point, the default shut-off time will be two hours, unlss you use the auto-off to increase this time limit to 3 or 4 hours.

SOURCE: Cuisinart Dcc-1200 coffee maker is gurgling a lot,
I had this same problem and found that coffee grounds had somehow gotten in to the water reservoir and had been circulating thru the machine clogging the charcoal filter. This must have prevented the water from entering the heating chamber efficiently and therefore continued to gurgle until it all got thru. I flushed out the reservoir by holding the pot upside down and shooting water into the reservoir. It took some time to get all the grounds out. I took out the charcoal filter, flushed out that section and replaced it with a new filter. When finished, I ran thru a solution of white vinegar for good measure and bingo!! The coffee pot works perfectly.
