I bought a used Cybex Trotter 700 T treadmill that works fine except the increase speed (+) does not work. I tried to fix it and now all of the buttons don't work. Any sugestions?

Dear Sir:
This is probably a 1(faulty speed sensor or the 2( speed sensor is not plugged in properly. Its also possibly a 3(faulty motor control board or lower board+ 4( Main motor faulty. Adjust the speed sensor see the diagram.

Run the software calibration for easy diagnose and troubleshooting.

If a 20-yr old Cybex drops dead, is replacing the motor an option?

From the look of it you're looking at a minimum of $750 to have a motor retrofitted for it. The company stated they no longer sell replacement parts for models that age. I would say considering the age and expense involved you would be better off comparison shopping and getting a newer model with an extended warranty. See: http://www.treadmilldoctor.com/Products-Services2/Cybex-Treadmill-Motors?sort1desc=F&sort1=Item_ONLINECUSTOMERPRICE
Also, take into consideration the cost of installation/repair you'd have to pay to whomever replaced the part(s) assuming you needed to hire a professional. (In which case they would want to order the part and then there would be their mark up and the cost just climbs...)
For over $700 You can get one heck of an awesome treadmill... all the bells and whistles come with a couple hundred more than that.
If cost is an issue check out the Craig's List and such. There are always a LOT of nice newer models for sale with huge discounts.
I have to say, treadmills are the most popular impulse buy, they're bought with good intentions but most wind up as giant clothes hangers or paperweights haha!

I have a Cybex 700C upright exercise bike--it is an alternator powered unit. The display is dead. I have the bike apart, and everything looks fine inside, so I wonder if the most likely suspect is the 6V...

I would start by checking the voltage of the battery, before just replacing it. I will attach a link to a video on how to do this and also a link to the possible battery if this turns out to be the issue.

Hesitation with the belt rotation. Less pronounced at faster speeds.

This is usually caused by a loose belt and can be tightened by the adjustment bolts located on the back of the machine on either side of back roller thru the holes in the shrouds

Cybex 700R will not power up.

I have a Cybex 500 and am looking for a user manual. Mine also stopped working. It's due to the internal battery running down. What you need is to plug a Power supply into the bike. I used one of these multi voltage adaptors. At the front of the bike you will see a point to plug the adaptor that fits snuggly into it. Mine was set to 12v with a positive pole to center contact. There is a diagram on the front of the bike to show you although mine wasnt marked pos or neg.
Switch mains power on and you'll get a series of displays scrolling. You'll be able to now use the bike. I left mine plugged in for 24 hours which charged the internal battery and now works perfectly again.
If you can now help me with the manual for the 500 Only want the setup pages. (1 or 2).
Thanks.
