Dark syrup is not the same thing as dark molasses; it is a sibling to corn syrup. The closest alternative to dark syrup, if you can't find it, is mixing three parts light corn syrup and one part molasses. This will give you the closes flavor with common pantry items.

What can I substitute for molasses

That depends upon what you have available. Classic baked beans require molasses - if you substitute anything else, you won't be making classic baked beans, you'll be making something else. Might taste good, though.

What is the worst snack possible??

According to Men's Health magazine, it's Hostess Chocolate Pudding Pie:
Hostess Chocolate Pudding Pie
520 calories
24 g fat (14 g saturated, 1.5 g trans)
45 g sugars

Skip past the enriched flour and water on the ingredient list and here's what you get: animal shortening, corn syrup, high-fructose corn syrup, sugar, modified corn starch, butter, chocolate liqueur, and so on. Any one of these ingredients alone might prompt you to raise an eyebrow, but taken together they should invoke a gag reflex and a sprint for something far healthier.

How do I mess around with the alcohol content of my homebrewed beer? The last few batches have just not been alcoholic enough.

If you want to increase the alcohol content to your beer, you need to add more fermentable sugar to the yeast. Fermentable sugars include; malt, honey, molasses and corn syrup).

This will increase the alcohol but you shouldn't go crazy as there is a limit to what you can add before you mess it up.

Can anyone say what is blackstrap molasses?

Oh yeah I love this stuff. Its also rich in potassium, helps hair growth in some cases and for me it was a real lifesaver.I was suffering from extreme exhaustion for no known reason.I was so tired all the time I could not function. The way to buy it is go to the health food store. The way to take is mix a spoonful into either milk or else soy-milk until it looks like chocolate milk.A spoonful goes a long way in a glassful and then you simply drink it.It really gives me energy. Also it doesn't taste bad when you take it this way.

Hello sah.... You could use any white or brown sugar or honey or corn syrup. I prefer honey because of the flavor and the antioxidents. Joe
