YOU MAY HAVE BAD MOTOR WINDINGS OR DOES THE MACHINE START RIGHT BACK UP AFTER SWITCHING OFF IF NOT, THAT IS A SIGN OF BAD MOTOR WINDINGS.
There are several boards in that dryer that can cause problems. Inside the control panel, usually laying flat in a plastic envelope, should be some paper with service information on it including how to get the display into service mode. Once in service mode you should be able to see what part is causing the problem and it will also tell how to exit service mode once fixed.
Possible that there is some loose connection or fault with the controller unit. You can remove the panel and check on all connections, check the panel links and if this wont improve the panel board is a suspect.
Hi, If this is an electric tumble dryer, the way to replace the belt is from the rear of the machine, remove all the screws on the rear silver panel, which gives you access to the internals of the dryer. And yes the drum wont turn properly if the belt is broken.
I hope this helps you. If so please leave a vote or comment.
This problem happened to us too, fortunately it's quite easy to repair. The problem may lie with the water inlet solenoid (rear of machine, top left under the top cover). The cold water inlet to condense the steam may not be working correctly and the steam comes out of the detergent drawer. Replace this solenoid (bank of three on the water inlet) and this should solve your problem.
In the back of the display panel. remove the metal cover with the dryer UNPLUGGED.There is a booklet that tells you how to access the service mode by pressing 2 certain buttons at a time certain dryer functions can be accessed. One of the tests were to check the led lights on your control panel, when you run the test all the lights would light up. it's a possibility if you acess the service mode and run the led light check it could possibly reset it and solve your problem. It's a shot but it can't hurt. Getting into the service mode to test certain modes on your dryer is easy enough.Just read the instructions. Good luck.
