On my nieces highQ tablet it is always optimizing and kills the battery really fast and also there is no sound. It has a headset picture on the top of the screen in the corner.

Remove the battery for 10 seconds and then reinstall and turn on. If you don't know how to remove the battery Google the brand/model and "replace battery"

I don't know it either. But this shows -- it's always best for *you* to set a password or other security on your device, before someone else does it for you!

Wifi always drains battery life to some extent or another.. Best solution is to turn off wifi when not in use or needed, and or keep your device plugged in during extensive use.. try to figure out your battery life while using wifi, and also kill/turn off any unnecessary background apps like gps, etc.. you can also extend your battery life by keeping your back light and lock screens to turn down and set to automatically turn off after a min or so of non use.. hope this helps..

it sounds like the charger is worn out, its output is noisy, if it works ok on battery then replace the charger, avoid using the bad charger it may damage your tablet.

nothing you can do about it ... if you dont use the wireless you can disable-it from bios and the light willl shut down....
i have the same laptop ..and except the battery that goes fast it's a reliable laptop
PS you would better use w7-x86/32 bit and it will performe better
