LG 60" TV Model #: 60LB7100-UT The picture goes on for a second on startup but then goes out. The splash screen shows up then the backlights go out. I have replaced the power supply and the tcon board, still does same thing. There is a green led on the power supply board that continuously flashes four times. Wondering if that is some type of error code. Could this be a bad led strip? Do all the strips fail if one is bad? Don't know if thats how they work.
When ONE led on the strip fails, the amount of current being sent through the strip changes. It can cause the unit to sense the change in current and shut down. You can replace all the strips or you can use a meter to check the diodes and see how many failed and then replace those individually or the whole strip they are in

Fault with its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.
Hi Rick,
It appears to be a case of backlight failure. since you have replaced all the boards, inverter is ruled out. Some of the LEDs in the backlight array may have gone bad. Fault is repairable, but needs care and experience of opening and repairing the LED panel. Good luck.
It is likely the T-con PCB is at fault, but that is just a guess without doing testing, it is about $200 for the part sure you want to guess on this or just replace the TYV and no worries.
