SOURCE: Mastercraft snowblower will not start
if old gas was left in the tank and not flushed it makes the carb stick and won't allow the proper gas flow to the motor...I would first test the plug by verifying it has spark..if it does what i do at times is quickly spray some quick start in the plug chamber and reinsert the plug and try to restart...this at times will get the spark going and allow the motor to start.....you can also try to spary some in the carb before starting...just a squirt or two....the best thing to do is actually clean out the carb as it is likely the issue.....hope this helps

if there is not a vacuum leak it seems that the signal wire to the MAP is either open or shorted to 5 volt reference wire. if not either of those may be the PCM

One of two things will cause this. Either your piston rings have fried and your piston is stuck. The bearing on the flywheel is bad. Or actually one of thing, the crank shaft has broken. You willl need to take the motor apart all the way and see what is going on. If you take the flywheel off try to turn it by hand and see if you can turn it that wy. You also can try easier to check for first symptom is to make sure you are not in vapor lock. Remove the spark plug, turn unit upside down and see if you can get the motor to turn, if you can then replace the spark plug and it will start up. You can getvapor lock by running it low on fuel or the wrong fuel or running it to rich

This problem has been solved! I took the covers off the machine, removed the starter and eventually replaced the drive. Apparently the drive parts were put on back ordered and took about 4 weeks to get the drive set. One thing I suggest if anyone does this is to look at the fly wheel to insure it's in good working order. The dealer I worked with said often that is chewed up (the teeth on the fly wheel) and leads to a bigger headache. Fortunately mine was just fine. The machine now works likes like new as I put in a new spark plug as well!

You might try removing the battery connectors for five minutes and replacing back.
If the codes do not disappear, please you might have to get a scanner to do that.
Cheers.
