When checking for a spark you must make sure the spark plug is well earthed against the cylinder, and give the starter a good pull, if there is no spark try a new clean plug ( make sure the ignition switch is on ) if all this fails then unfortunately you may well need to fit a new ignition coil, this will be situated under the covers against the flywheel.

Using a black and Decker gb155 whipper snipper how do I adjust the high/low carburetor adjustment screws properly? And how do I replace the line so that it stops breaking

Dean:

Adjust the carburetor screws in all the way...do not force them. back the screws out one and a quarter turns and the machine should try to start. adjust the screws one at a time... one quarter of a turn until the machine runs properly. Then adjust the idle.

My wipper snipper has no spark, Ihave bridged out the switch to make sure its not the switch, new spark plug ,correct gap .

The switch is a kill switch that grounds out the spark, at least that is how mine is. So assuming you have it correct, and new plug, that leaves the ignition coil. Only component left.

There are three adjustments to the carbureter of the stihl wipper snipper model F585AV. One being the idle adjustment. one of the other two is the mixture adjustment. Question is, which is the mixture...

Low idle speed is one and high speed screw is the other. The idle screw is usually the one located closest to the throttle plate (closer to engine)

Hi, hope you can help. My Ryobi Scorpion wipper snipper has no electricity going to the spark plug. Is their a way to fix this either with or without a replacement part or is it not worth it? Thanks, Rob

Rob, How have you determined that there is no spark? Have you used a type of spark tester? What is the condition of the plug. Brown or dark brown is OK. Black or silver is NOT Ok.
If you do not have a spark tester, remove the plug, and with it connected to the wire, find a portion of metal around the cylinder that you can ground it on, and then pull the rope. If the plug is black, you may see spark, but you should replace the plug.
*** PLEASE NOTE ; if there is excess fuel in the cylinder or on spark plug, it can catch fire, so be carefull to cover the hole with a heavy rag so that any fuel cannot be exposed to spark plug durning test !!!!

Worth it? If you can do the work yourself, I believe you will be OK. Depending on your parts availability, and the amount of time it takes.

Get back with me on how this issue works out.
thanks, rwvanlue

Black and Decker whiper snipper runs for a few seconds then stops

I work for Black and Decker customer support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-231.9786.

If what you have is a Home Cafe coffee maker and it stops after a few seconds, the unit needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, the unit can't be repaired. The product comes with a one year warranty that begins on the date of purchase. If you purchased or received the unit within the last twelve months, please call the number above for our warranty procedure.

While this doesn't solve your problem, I hope that the information will allow you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
