Knocking out the power to the power box suggests the RCD or ELCB tripped, rather an MCB?
When the RCD or ELCB trips it is because some current is leaking to ground - either because of a fault in the wiring, power cord or most likely the appliance.
Lots of such faults are intermittent for a time before becoming permanent. Steam irons are particularly prone and washing machines; usually caused by a small water leak...

if the fuse is black inside it means there is a s/c
on the psu if the fuse is clean it generally means
a faulty component on the board.
Either way replace or repair psu.

list make and exact model like accord ls, dx, ex, whatever it is. I tried to scan/paste a diagram here but it would not be undestandable as it jumbled it up.

Unplug the unit and remove the board cover. The fuses are soldered in but can be changed with a soldering iron. They are glass and easily spotted on the board.

The fuse on the driver side door fuse block labeled AUX PWR2 20amps protects the rear lighter plugs.
