Looping on wrong (bottom) side of fabric is almost always insufficient tension of top thread.

The fabric appears to be multiple layers high density so it will take a higher than typical tension setting.

You can easily verify it is top thread looping on bottom by using a different color top thread. Using a different color top thread will also aid in setting the proper tension as you'll be able to see bottom thread eventually come to top side as you increase tension. Then reduce tension until stitch returns to center of fabric layer.

SOURCE: Stitch selection

Next to the "selection wheel" there's a large-ish "hole" with a screw at the bottom, use your screw driver to wind up the screw and you'll be able to use the 9 to 15:)

Go to brother.com and download a manual for free. Also, try a metal #15 bobbin.

I have a 15 stitch Brother and I cannot figure out how to use all the stitches. The manual is of no use. I cannot get into the other circle of stitches that are available after 8 or so.

You are not making it very easy to help you. I think you should talk to a person who sews, because I never heard of someone who cannot understand a manual. Call Brother at 1-877-276-8437.

Appearence of loop and no zigzag stich on ls-2125i brother

The loopy stitching is usually do to threading the machine with the presser foot down.

Raise the presser foot and re-thread or pull about 8" of thread through the needle and see if the loopy stitches go away.

This may also be the issue with the zig-zag stitch.

When the machine is threaded with the presser foot down, the tension is closed and the thread cannot enter as it should for the tension to control the flow of thread to the needle. The thread then feeds too fast and the stitching is distorted.
