First change the referesh rate for your monitor. If that works, then you dont have to change the resolution. If that does not work, try increasing the rate again. Once you can get the game, then try to change the resolution from within the game options, if necessary..

You need to lower your PS3 video resolution to the TV native resolution. Try at lower resolution first and go up from there. Right now it is too high for the TV.

Turn the system off, then push the power button for 5-10
seconds. That resets the video to the minimum setting.
Or
*WITH NO DISC INSERTED* If there is one, eject it and turn the system
off so I can show you from a system start with no disc. This IS using a HDMI cable as well
1)Power on system; do NOT push any buttons on the controller!
2) Over 4 to the left
3)9 down
4) Click 'X' once
5)Click 'X' again
6)Click 'X' again
7)Click 'X' again
That should bring you to some settings list that makes sure that the settings you clicked were what you want.
