I have a maranta sr5004, it had been in storage for about a year as we were renovating. I hooked it up and the standby light came on but wet out after about 15 minutes. The app will not turn on now. I have power to the unstitched plug so I know it is getting power. Any idea why it won’t turn on.

This is most likely a component failure in the power supply. The unit is 10 years old and a lot of components are prone to age failure from poor design back when it was built.

SOURCE: Sony KDF-E50A10 stays on for 15-20 minutes then

The reason this happens the most is because of the lamp being weak. I have not seen anything else cause this problem. You can varify this by turning the set off and wait until it shuts down totally.
with the Sony remote, press the display button, the #5 button,
volume down button, then power button. This puts you into the the factory error code mode. If you see the lamp code with multiple errors and no other errors shown, the lamp is the problem.
Most of Sonys lamps have a aprox life of 3000 hrs. Some last longer and some shorter.
I hope this helps,

SOURCE: Power light is flashing red on my tv and will not power on...

Actually the most likely not heat. At least heat is not likely what is causing the current issue your describing. The power supply in these and for that matter most AKAI televisions were very poorly manufactured. But the symptoms you are describing sound more like a common capacitor issue that the AKAI brand TV's are known for. Basically several of the capacitors on the secondary side of the board become bad and can bulge or leak and sometimes, they do not even show signs of going bad but still are not performing up to spec which is what causes the problem you are discribing. In some cases you may have other components tht have failed also but about 80-90% of the time it is due to bad capacitors around the board. There are several options online for repairing your power supply and some repair shops will work on them altough most will just want you to buy a new power supply. I repair LCD power supplies on the side and once repaired with better quality capacitors you should be able to get several more years out of your LCD.

SOURCE: Turning off by itself

This TV probably needs the convergence amp IC's replaced. When they go bad the TV will not turn on.Call a good TV Tech and tell him you want the IC's upgraded to STK 392-150 instead of the original STK 392-120 and check all resistors in the circuit for proper value. They could be burned or open.

SOURCE: Optoma 719, can't get lamp and fan to turn on.

There is a stuffed 10v 3300uf capacitor on the power board. You need to replace it.
Bellow you can check in the picture where the capacitor is located.

Notice that in this picture I have already took the bad capacitor out and replaced with two small cords to reach the bottom and test the new capacitor.
To reach this place is not fast, several layers of plastic and metal must be removed, but is not a hard task to take the capacitor out and replace it for another.
It works just great! Now it is back on track with awesome image.

Murantz sr5004 wont turn on at all. Unplug then plug back in. Red standby light comes on( no blinking). Hit power button to turn on and light goes off and nothing. Wont turn on.

This could be a lot of things. If you know electronic repair you may be able to repair it. There are capacitors that can fail that would cause the symptoms that you are describing. There are also current sensing devices and chips that could be having faults in them. This requires a lot of equipment and troubleshooting to find.

My sr5004 marantz receiver has gone into standby with the indicator is blinking how do i get ride of it

If the red led is blinking fast (8x/second) the power supply is likely damaged and the unit will need to be serviced. If blinking slow, the most likely cause would be a shorted speaker connection. To help find the cause, unplug everything including the power and speakers. Connect only the power and try to turn the unit on. If the light doesn't blink, you know you have a shorted connection. Power off and connect the inputs and then power back on. If the light is not blinking, you know the problem is with an output connection. Just find the bad connection by process of elimination.

My sr5004 marantz is in standby with the indicator is blinking on the front how do i get ride of it

Power the unit down and remove all cables. If it still blinks when you power back on, you probably have a PS failure. I could not locate any fuses or circuit breakers on mine and had to return for service. There is a factory reset that can be performed by pressing and holding the surround mode and clear buttons on the front panel at the same time for 3 seconds.

Marantz SR5004: display says 7.1 CH input source direct. I can't change the sources at all. TV is working but no sound. I think my kids hit a few buttons, but I can't reset it. Thanks

Look on your remote. There is a button top right that says 7.1. Hit it. Reselect input and surround and you should be good to go.

SR5004 amp on standby mode (red light blinking twice a second) / cant get it out of stand by mode

I am having the same issue as well. If you press "clear" "exit" and "surround mode" all at the same time, it will come back on. It seems to be an overheating issue. If you put a fan on it, it helps, but does not fix permanently. Anyone have any ideas for a permanent fix?
