There are many adhesives or fillers that can repair many things including tanks of many types.

It is difficult to make good recommendations without details. Repairs are often short-lived because instructions are not closely followed and because the choice of product isn't suitable for the application.

The reason why the tank began to leak might be an impact or might be due to poor design or poor quality or because it is subjected to stress. These things must be analysed - it might be advisable for instance to use one product to seal the leak and another to reinforce the repair.

The clean water tanks leaks. What's causing the problem?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover Floormate H3000 Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum. You can down load the owner manual from the Hoover website www.hoover.com . It looks like the one of the holding or recovery tanks my not be in place, leaking, cracked or damaged, or the clear tube is leaking and needs replacing. I looked 2 the owner’s manual and it does not show the clear tube but the vacuum does come apart and just back track the clear tube and mark the screws when you disassemble the unit. Other wise , please call the factory or a local Hoover warranty station in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Hoover f7458-900 leaking when placing tank on

Hello! Test the clean water tank to see if it is leaking. Fill the clean water tank with water on both sides. Hold the tank up and observe if water leaks from the valves underneath the tank. If either of the valves are leaking the clean water tank will need to be replaced. To order a replacement tank follow this link > Search Results. If the tank is not leaking, but the cleaner leaks when the tank is placed on it, this may indicate an internal issue with your pump. We would recommend taking the cleaner to a Hoover authorized service center. Follow the link to locate the nearest service center to you. > Service Center Locator Hope this helps!

My Hoover steam vac dual v clean water and detergent tank leaks water before attached to the vac and during cleaning

This is a common problem with the earlier models which had a separate soap tank glued to the clean water tank. The plastic was too thin beneath the valve on the clean water side and would develop cracks. You most likely will need a new one piece tank. ( Part # 42272104)

Let me start out with an apology. I did not ask my question very well - and you did not answer it as I needed.
If you wish, we MAY be able to communicate in your native language. We can do most indian languages, Turkish, Ukranian and some Russian - as well as Spanish. If any of those are easier for you - please feel free to use any of them.

The Machine storage tanks are 2 - one clean water, one dirty water.
I understand that, when OFF, no leaks happen.
I understand that when on a leak comes from "the side". Also, water comes from the bottom.

So, water comes out near the bottom brushes (even without trigger). Then, with trigger, MUCH water comes out near bottom brushes. Am I correct so far?

Water out the side concerns me. I am guessing that the bottom of the clean storage tank may have a small leak.
I am also guessing that the trigger valve (located in the small opening behind the black rubber seal that the clean water tank rests on) is not closing all of the way - or is broken (cracked).

Can you please remove the clean water tank and inspect the trigger valve with a torch (flash light). Can you see it open/close as you operate the trigger? Is it broken, cracked, or dirty?
If yes then it must be replaced. If no, the the storage tank is bad and must be repaired.

You inspect all of these things and you should be able to determine the failure. THEN, I an help you repair the failed item.

Hoover Steam Vac V2 Deep Cleaner leaking clean water

Fill the tank and determine if the plastic is leaking, or if the valves are leaking. if the tank is cracked, it would need replaced. There is an improved design now available.

You may cycle the valves on the bottom with the eraser end of a pencil.

Hoover Steam Vac clean water tank valve leaks

a) make sure that there is not a place for a stair attachment. If
there is make sure air is not leaking through where the attachment goes
on because of damaged or misplaced fitting.

b) some steam vacs leave water behind them and **** up in front of
them. If you just walked forwad with the steam vac nothing would be
sucked into the tank.

c) try taking your finger off the trigger and using the steam vac. If
the tank still empties the trigger is stuck open.

d) try putting clean water in the dirty water tank only and using it on
a dry rug. If water goes somewhere from the dirty water tank you have
a leak.

e) take apart what you can and look at the parts. A good visual
inspection can solve many of these types of problem if you are careful
not to miss anything.
