Onn 2in1 tablet 100002435 shuts off when tablet is put in keyboard dock

Onn Tablets are a Walmart Special brand sourced in China at the lowest price point for maximum profit. It is for good reason that Apple iPad is the brand leader in tablets.

Take it back, it is faulty.

Although Sleep Mode does cause some battery drain, it should last days if not opened. If it is plugged in, it should remain at 100% ALL the time. It inbuilt charging regulation is broken. Get a refund and buy a brand name tablet, Samsing, Acer or iPad.

The ONN 10.1 tablet is a standalone unit, so it you are using a keyboard with it, I am guessing you have this one?

My guess is that opening the tablet up operates a switch in the hinge like it does on a notepad computer. ONN is Walmart's own bargain basement brand electronics line made at the cheapest possible price point in China. Take it back to Walmart and ask them to show you, as it appears to be broken.

For the keyboard to work, the tablet has to be docked on the keyboard (you will hear a clear clicking sound when you dock the tablet properly). If the keyboard doesn't work when it is docked, it should be brought in for a repair.

You turn the power off to the Thinkpad Tablet 2 keyboard by holding the power switch to the right for 3 seconds.

I had the same issue, and i resolved it by:

1. Typing the code '0000' + Enter on the tablet screen, making the tablet check
2. Hitting the same code '0000' (and maybe Enter, don't remember) on the keyboard right after.

..then the tablet paired the keyboard correctly. Good luck!

I found the solution to this. If you click the link underneath the box where it is asking you to enter a code, it will actually display the code that you need to type on the keyboard.

Also, make sure the keyboard is NOT charging when you pair.

Power. You may find that the ower managment settings need to be changed or an external supply is needed.
