My dryer was making loud noise which sounded like it was coming from the drum. Took dryer apart. Wheels appear to be in good condition, no play. Wheel on right side does have room to move back and forth. No visual damage to belt. Which parts would I need to replace

SOURCE: Kenmore gas dryer 97273100 was drying, but making a loud noise

You need a belt. Here's a link to a site with a good set of instructions if you want to try repairing it yourself. (You should DIY. You can save a bunch on the service call and the belt is only about $20.)

SOURCE: Loud squealing noise from Drum belt looks fine other solutions

If the noise is like a shaking of rattling , like coins being shaked , then it is an object trapped inside the drum.

If instead the noise is a loud grinding , that may get louder on high speed, then it is usually a bad drum bearing.

If dryer is not cooling, check that the noise is not coming from the ventilation fan.

Rollers and belt tensioner can also make noise.

Kenmore 90 series makes a loud noise during spinning and it looks like the basket is loose

On most Kenmore or whirlpool dryers, you have two wheels that have rubber around them. They look like wheels off of rollerblade skates. They simply bolt on to the back, but you have to usually put a large piece of wood to act as a fulcrum as you support the weight of the drum and change out the two wheels. Check with searspartsdirect.com for the parts prior to taking the dryer apart. I had a machine that sounded like tennis shoes were rolling around the drum and fixed the issue by simply replacing these two wheels.

You will need to check the tub roller wheels. This is a common noise when the wheel bearings start to ware down. They are not expensive, and you should be able to do this yourself. Good Luck Friend.

There is a loud squealing noise when in use. Sometimes intermittent but worse on lighter loads. I was told it was the wheels that make the drum turn. I have no idea how to get at those wheels. All...

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication, or maybe your drum belt has slipped off of the idler arm pulley.
If you have a front loading machine,

Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer.
Note: Some tops hinge and tilt backwards so they do not have to be removed.
Also remove the screws holding the lint filter in place.
Be REAL CAREFUL not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch. Then remove the top of the dryer.
Remove the front of the dryer. This will expose the drum and belt. Remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm pulley and motor.
Now is a good time to check the belt to see if it has slipped off of the idler arm pulley and also to check the belt condition for wear.
Be sure to note the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt.
Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots or wear on them replace them.
If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.

New dryer makes a loud thumping full or

I hope he did nt charge you. Because of the seam in a dryer drum, they do make a slight thumping noise but it should not be real loud. I hope the tech took the dryer apart and checked the rollers. One of them may have a flat spot.
I would ask for a factory represent ive to come out and see if they think they would want a dryer in there home that make that much noise.

My dryer is sqeaking loudly when running

Squeaking usually comes from drum roller supports and/or the belt idler pulley needing lubricated. If the drum does not have drum roller supports under the drum, it will be equipped with a plastic drum glide the is located around the perimeter of the front drum facing. If this plastic wears down it will cause the drum to scrape against the metal bulkhead and make noise. If equipped, you need to replace the drum glide

The drum rollers (if equipped) can be lubricated with a light weight turbine oil (like the kind you would lubricate some ceiling fan motors with). Lubricate the roller wheels at the axle ONLY. Do not lubricate the wheels. The same is true for the idler pulley. Make sure you don't get any oil on the belt, or it will slip.

If you need instructions on how to reinstall the drive belt, repairclinic.com has dryer belt diagram illustrations under their "Repair Help" section. Look for the "Dryer Belt Diagram" link on the left hand side of the page. If your dryer is a GE model, you would use diagram M, D, or L (depending on the age of the dryer).

If you have questions, let me know. I hope this helps you.

My dryer is making a loud noise

The wheels on each side at the bottom that support the drum are worn and that is causing the drum to bounce and make the noise.

LG DLE7177WM began making loud RuMbLiNg sound.

I have the same problem; pulled it apart and discovered the drum was cracked at the seam where it was welded. the noise occurs as it passes over the wheels the drum rests on. called LG's Cusomer Diservice and nobody was interested. found the same problems by others while searching myself so its clearly a manufacturing problem.
