As of now I can only see in white and black and the picture is very grainy. When I show the menu it shows it's normal bluish colors, but no matter the source of the picture it will NOT show color.
The TV was working fine, it is connected to a battery back up and all of the sudden it "crashed" and the screen went all haywire. I had to power down the battery as it was not responding. Powered back up and there is no color. Tried resets and leaving it off for a while.... I guess I need it replaced?
It sounds like to me it is the Main Unit. Some of them are called BU Boards but they vary with Model number. This Board processes the Video before it gets to the LCD Panel. It also has most of the Logic and Microcontroller Circuits on it. So if it did not want to react to any commands, I think this is where your problem is. I would call Sony at 1800-222-SONY to see if they could help you find a Service Facility to assist you. They may even be willing to help with the repair.
