On the main menu select Settings, then Time & Date.
Set Time zone updating to Manual.
Then SCROLL down i.e. drag the menu upwards (this is the bit that many don't realise.)
Then you will be able to set the time & date.

Settings
Time and Date
Ensure time zone updating is Manual
Then set Time and Date
It appears that if Time zone updating is set to Automatic
you cannot change the date or time

you can enter the hard reset code but that will delete everything on the phone the code is *2767*3855# i haven't been able to find the password reset for the F48.
The default code for the Samsung F480 is 12345678
