Hello,
We have an old - 1991 RCA tv, model F35100ST
while watching the tv the other day it just went out.
Picture lost, sound lost and the little green power light - gone.
My husband thought if he opened it up he would find a fuse to replace maybe, but did not.
Can you help with any suggestions in what we can look for?
Best thing to start here is open up the TV and look for any blown components on the power board (which is the one that has the power cable attached to); check the transformer for continuity first, that is the first thing to blow. Then go on with capacitors, resisters, and any burnt wires.
All of these parts are easy to find and replace, they can be found in local electronics shops.
Please post back how it went and any further information or questions you may have, so we can help you better.
Good luck!

I will have my husband check this out when he comes home.
I pushed accept on the screen here, I hope that does not close this situation out.
I have not resolved yet.
Anyways: Do I need resistor testors or anything like that to check some of these things?
Or, if it is blown will it be obvious upon sight?
Thank you
Deana
