Put the battery in the red light comes on and wont turn on

When i put the battery in my cell phone a red light comes on on the top left hand side of the phone and the phone will not turn on

Will it turn on if the phone is plugged into the charger? Pull the battery, clean the terminals on the phone & battery, let the phone set or 30 minutes and reinstall battery. If it fires up, I would suggest syncing the phone immediately, then performing a hard reset and resync.

If that doesn't work , the battery could be the issue, but the phone is more than likely becoming unstable.

try pulling the battery out,Just leave it out a few seconds (count of 30). And unplug power(charger) cord from your phone. Then put the battery back in and press the power button.

The battery compartment cover wont fully open how can i get battery out to start using new phone?

The back cover is a bit tight but should come off with a little bit of force. There is a slot at top right hand side on rear to put your nail in to start it off then when started pull the cover straight back, don't worry it feels like it shouldn't come off but just pull at it and it will release.
