The oldest of my digital cameras is the Original Digital Rebel. Before chunking it I will give it one last effort to see if anyone out there has fresh ideas.
I have had it for 4 or 5 years..probably closer to 5...when it first came out. Anyhow, the power hasn't come on in well over 6 months. I don't use this camera anymore, only my husband used it on occasion, but had just used it 2 prior prior to it's passing away.
The camera is dead. Changed the battery, changed the internal battery, cleaned off all the contact points were the batteries are and where the lens is. I have replaced the CF card etc. Absolutely nothing happens when it is powered on. No red light flashing for a second or anything. It's no worth $200 to send to Canon if they are just gonna tell me it's trash anyway....unless you have an idea.
When I plug the USB cable in & have the camera on, the camera says busy & does not detect on my computer.
