hey, I just bought a used avr7000 from auction and it has similar problems that you and others have posted on the net. From the receiver mine has no audio and at times minutes/hours apart sound comes out for a few seconds and then cuts out again. i have yet to try the inputs, you can download the service manual from www.eserviceinfo.com i am of the understanding that the problem is on the DSP board(it has the digital/optical inputs), primarily the 10uf capacitors(about 10) need replacement. Im am yet to try anything, the board looks delicate and would required proper soldering and desoldering tools. from australia
