Hello ,I have a Pioneer Recorder ,DVR
- 225,and I only had it about 5 months ,I never use it before now,it's
almost brand new but the problem is I cannot seems to get it to record ,I mean from TV to recorder ,or VCR to Recorder ,I am mostly interested in converting my VCR tapes to DVDs,what exactly do I need to do to convert my VHS tapes to DVDS and what about the connections to my VCR to DVD recorder,oh I misplaced my remote control
for the DVR recorder how can I program, I mean the settings on the DVR
recorder to do the recording from VCR to DVR without using the remote
control ? Please help me I tried about a million times wasted away a
lot of my blank DVDs and still cannot get it right ,when i record and
tried to play it is just blank.so nothing is recorded I know I am just
not doing something right ,I also would like to know how I can pause as
i record because i would like to record only parts from my VCR
tapes and disregard what I do not want and and put only some parts I
want on my DVDs so I guess I have to maybe pause ,please tell me how to
?Please help ,I would really appreciate your help, thank you so much for
your help and have a really nice day.
The dvd recorder has to be set to monitor the program your watching! you can not copy vhs tapes to dvd this way because the tapes that are prerecorded have a copy protect feature and will nut copy right!

There might be a firmware upgrade to allow this I would use DVD-R for full compatibility however DVD+R media from Philips is increasing in compatibility with most NON Philips and Sony players.
will any disc at all load if not u probably have something **** inside or broke inside do u have babies or little kids my 3 year old shoved part of a crayon in our dvd player and i had to take it apart and dig it out n cleanit and it still worked
A lot of the functionality you are wanting is tied to the remote that you have misplaced. You can go to the Pioneer support site and order a new remote, though it is like $30.
As for wiring options to record, it depends on the inputs and outputs that are available on your television.
- Ideally, connect VCR to TV input "1", connect DVR output to TV input "2", and conect TV output to DVR. This will help you avoid any copy protection issues you run into, but not all TV sets have both audio and video output.
- If you don't have TV outputs, connect VCR out to DVR in, and then DVR out to TV in. This will definitely work, but you will have to have the DVR turned on to watch a VCR tape.
no Sir there is nothing to do now because there will be no tracking of data apart from another pioneer dvr-225. Try inserting the disc in a similar dvd player!
