You can also receive this error message when you have antivirus e-mail protection or personal firewall software enabled on your computer.
Try disabling the antivirus program through msconfig or close the antivirus program and see if you get the same error again, if not then disable email scanning and this will help you.

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.bizmail.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.bizmail.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10013, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I believe this is caused when your router has blocked port 25.
Open your e-mail program go to the menu and click > Tools > Accounts > "your account" > Properties > Advanced. Change port 25 to either 587 > OK
If 587 doesn't work, try changing to port 467.

Go to menu/settings/application settings/message/email/email account/create account and follow the instructions below

Account Name: (your Gmail id) SMPT Server: smpt.gmail.com SMPT Port: 465 Secure Connection: SSL Incoming Server Type: POP3 POP3 server: pop.gmail.com POP3 port: 995 APOP login: no Secure connection: SSL Download limit: 500 IMAP4 incoming email: disable Retrieving option: subject only Keep on server: yes My email address: (your Gmail id) Username: (your mail id) Password: ********* POP before SMPT: no SMPT path: yes Same as POP3/IMAP4: yes User name: disabled Password: disable
If you want to set up your other accounts such as yahoo and hotmail, then just change the things given below, and leave the rest as it is.

I am at present in Belgium, coming from Switzerland, and I am connected with a fixe net line. At the beginning I was able to receive mails but could not send them, now I don t receive neither can I send...

Try to turn off the email scanning of your Antivirus.
You may have to change the email server information over to the one that is in Belgium. Looks like your computer is still trying to use the one from Schweiz.

Cannot get incoming mail - can send. WindowsXP Error message: A time-out occurred while communicating with the server. Account: 'mail.insightbb.com', Server: 'mail.insightbb.com', Protocol: POP3, Port:...

This is usually a problem related to "real time scanning" of email by your anti-virus (AV) software. One way to check is to disable real time scanning in AV and try checking your email. If it goes through, then the problem is defintely with AV software.

Be sure to enable the real time scanning again (you don't want to download a virus accidentally) and then contact your AV softwware support for a solution.

Error message when using my new Microsoft Windows Mail program-

You are supposed to put the fully qualified domain name of the mail server in the SMTP server field, and the POP3 server field, like mail.acmellc.com and pop3.mycompanyname.com. Contact your mail service provider if you are not sure what the server names are.

The issue is: Unable to Send/Receive emails from winThe host 'POP3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'POP3', Protocol: POP3, Port:...

You are receiving this error because of one of two reasons:
1) Your email account is not set up properly. Click on Microsoft Outlook, click on Tools, then Accounts. You will see a window with columns stating Account-Type-Connection. If an account is set up then click on it then click on Properties. Click server tab and you will see the SMTP server block and the POP3 server block. Both of these fields will read as follows: pop.XXXXX.net and smtp.XXXXX.net. Your Internet Service Providers name will be in the XXXX. If these are not set up properly then you cannot connect to send email. If they are filled out correctly then you need to call your Internet Service Provider and inform them of your situation. Their server is not working properly.

Don't forget to 4 star this solution.
