Our front loader fills with water, begins to spin a few times and then stops. Water remains inside, not draining and all the clothes are soaked. The washer lights all begin blinking and it won't move into any other mode. we have been taking out the soaking clothes trying to rearrange them in the machine and that does nothing either. thanks for any suggestions regarding this matter. Kristen

HI, check the following to address this issue.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

**The most common issue will be an obstructed hose or, line...

Washer fills with water when not in use. Doesn't completely drain and spin cloths, and I get an E10 error code

Hello Lahoma, thank you for your post!
I understand that your Frigidaire washer fills with water, will not drain completely, and is flashing an "E10" error code. The error code stands for your washer fill time is too long. This could be an issue with your water valve, main control, or water pressure. You should check to make sure that your water flow is normal and that your water line is not restricted. This could cause an issue with the way water is distributed within your washer. The water pressure coming into your washer should be at 30 PSI. You can also clear out any false error codes by performing a reset on your washer. In order to reset your washer you need to disconnect power from it for roughly ten minutes. If this does not help resolve your issue I would recommend consulting with a professional technician for a proper diagnosis to be completed. I hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

The waste doesn't drain all the way.clothes remain soaking wet and often during a separate drain cycle it flashes: sud

if you are using to much detergent the washer won't drain correctly and if it's a front loader you'll damage the spider gear and then it's time for a new washer.the detergent eats at the metal and the gear on the back of the tub falls apart,i've found pieces of it in the pump on some washers, you should be using 1/4 of a cup of detergent in a front load washer,if you're using a whole cap it will suds up,the pump can't move the suds, when the suds sit for a while it turns back into water, take out the clothes, fill up the washer and drain it out, flush it out a few times to get all the suds out and cut back on the detergent

Stopped working mid cycle. The timer still counts down but does not fill, agitate, spin, drain. And before it stopped, the water that was draining out smelled really bad.

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the hose you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully.

Next: You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits of soap and other such things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it works great on all front loaders. Use quite hot water with the Affresh pellet with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle. Also helps with any stagnant water smells. Have you cleaned out your pump lately. Put the pellet inside the machine, not in the soap dispenser.
Pl give me a good rating for the free help, thanks.

Frigidaire (LTF2940E) Washer starts, stops, starts, stops...

The cycle doesn't advance When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Washer won't drain or spin

top loader ??? or front loader??? if top loader you have broken your lid switch, will fill, agitate, but when it comes to drain/spin for safety reasons if the unit doent recognize the lid closed it will not advance...if yo have a front loader then i would suspect that something has gotten into the pump assy and preventing drainiing of water therefore will not spin

Frigidaire front loader washing machine won't spin...

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Kenmore front loader

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

And pl rate me if helped.................
