I have a kitchenaid 23cd.Icemaker doesn't work has 40# water pressure 5 deg in freezer water works to fill glass no water in ice tray unpluged for 24 hours

If the water dispenser is working and fill glass function is working but the ice maker section there is no water in the tray then its faulty ice maker valve. This is a twin valve. The valve is one unit, but has two sections one for water and one for ice dispenser. This valve is got faulty and not working for both sections so water is not entering the ice maker tray.
There is a water valve at the back of the ice maker. This valve controls the flow of water in the ice maker chamber. If this valve is not functioning as required then water will not enter the ice maker. This valve is at the back of ice maker connected to the water fill tube.It has to be replaced to clear this problem.

You can get required parts from sears part direct online site or from repairclinic.com site.

This will help. Thanks. Helpmech.

Hello, my ice maker is not working.. the water is

Probably the solenoid (electric water valve that opens when the ice maker calls for water, located at the back of the unit in the bottom, behind the cover) is leaking and the fill tube to the ice maker gets clogh with ice , or the valve doesn't work, in both cases it needs to be replaced.

Ice maker won't work

If you are sure that power is getting to the ice maker unit inside the freezer and you're sure that water is available for the ice maker...
Try these next steps:

Follow the water line for the ice maker back to the ice maker water solenoid
Follow the wiring from the water valve to its source - either a timer or circuit board
Check the timer and/or circuit board for any bad connections, burned connections and power to the board or timer. This arrangement can vary by refrigerator model number...

Amana Side-by-Side Fridge Model SBD21VPSE Problem started when water stopped flowing from in-door dispenser and ice maker stopped making ice. I emptied fridge and freezer, left unit off for several...

If there is a reset button on your ice maker try pushing it. Many ice makers have two holes for reset. A general rule of thumb is if the ice maker fingers are stopped in a slightly vertical position then your ice maker unit is working. If the fingers are stopped anywhere else then it needs some sort of attention or replaced. Make sure there is water, or ice in the ice maker tray, if not then the problem is with water supply.

Ice maker not working

I recently had trouble with both my water dispenser and my ice maker. I determined that my filter was clogged, so I replaced it. That fixed the water dispenser but the ice maker still wasn't working. I investigated further and found that the water inlet tube was frozen solid. Aparently, when the filter was clogged the water came in so slowly that it froze before it got to the icetray. I tried pouring hot water over the inlet tube to melt it and it mostly worked, but there was still some ice in the tube further back where I couldn't reach. Finally I defrosted the freezer so all the ice could melt and turned it back on and now it works great! Hope this might help.
