When I plug my sony walkman into my computer with the usb connection it can't see it. i open my file transfer program and it asks me to connect the walkman which I already have. I uninstalled and re-installed the content transfer program and that didn't work...formated the mp3 player and that didn't work
could it be the usb cord?

Okay:
If this is windows
1 connect the player to your computer
2 go to 'My computer'
3 select your mp3 player's icon, until you see one of the folders marked 'Music'(or something like that)
4 then just delete the songs you want deleted.

I'm pretty sure I fixed a similar problem. Go to your device manager on your PC and uninstall the walkman driver. After this is complete just plug the walkman back into you Pc and the plug and play will download the driver again. This worked for me. My operating system is Windows vista.

I had the same problem. Don't buy a new cord. There is a sony place in winnipeg you can get it fixed there.
