MY UNIT HAS A HOSE ATTACHED...NEVER USED THE BUCKET...WHAT IS CH1...THE UNIT IS 2YRS OLD AND HAS WORKED WELL UNTIL NOW...HELP
I have a LG model LHD65EBL that first started icing up along the top edge during humid days. After several months of this, it finally stopped working and displayed CH01 with the bucket full indicator flashing.
I took apart the dehumidifier, removed the temperature sensor from the coil and rubbed it between my fingers. I then plugged in the unit and it started right up, confirming either a sensor or other circuit problem related to that sensor. For my model unit, I ordered sensor assembly #6877A30013L from RepairClinic.com for $21.75 + shipping.
When I received the assembly, I measured the new and old sensor with an ohm meter: new sensor = 5.5KOhms, old, defective sensor = 5.34KOhms. I installed the new sensor assembly and the unit is working fine.
Just because the bucket full indicator is flashing along with an error code does not mean there is a problem with the bucket full switch.
This was happening to mine also. The bucket full light would flash every 3 seconds, it would beep 4 or 5 times in a row, and the display read CH01. Someone on these forums answers everything with how to replace the bucket correctly. But the problem persisted even when I took the bucket down and held down the bucket switch myself. Taman1 hit this one on the head. I replaced the sensor and it started right up again. I also got it from repairclinic.com (I'm unaffiliated), and it cost me $25-26, and about an hour's work.
Hope this helps.
We are having the exact same problem with our LG dehumidifier. We got the exact same response from the consumer service number they list. We just want to know what the CH01 means. We have to drive to another town and pay them $25 just to look at it. We had an old Sears dehumidifier that we inherited that ran for years and this is what we replaced it with! We've had it one year. Is there any help out there?

Have the exact same problem, unit was working fine for about 2 years and then ZAP ! Now, the CH01 comes up with a 'bucket full' blinking light and the unit will not work. Called Home Depot where it was purchased and they said to 'talk to LG' because it has passed their 3 month liability time period. Talked to LG who offered a tele # for a local repair shop. After speaking to the annoyed repair shop who said they 'do not have a contract with LG for warranty work and if you talk to them tell them to take us off the list'. So I called LG back and they said they could not help without a receipt even though the serial # tells them the age (less than the 5 yr warranty). Also, there was not a person at LG (manager level) who would tell me what 'CH 01' means. Disappointment with LG would be a massive understatement at this point and I doubt that I could ever recommend their products to anyone in the future.
We are having the same problem...CH1 and "Bucket is Full Light" blinking. I have checked the float. Made sure the bucket is fully inserted. Unplugged and re-plugged in. Nothing corrects the problem. I would be interested in any suggestions. I am disillusioned with LG over this, too.
Me too (with LHD45EL).
If I had a guess that a particular component was bad,
I'd gladly fix it. But I've got no clue what's busted.
We have the same problem. I've tried to fix it, but with no luck. This is the second LG appliance we have had trouble with... we also have an LG dishwasher. I guess we will call LG and try to get this resolved.
