Cant answer phone when ringing. screen goes blank

isn`t there a button that relights the screen? Is this phone still under warrantee ?
Can always call your provider and ask for tech support they usually do it for free or loose a customer.

The phone board is damaged. The part that connects to the display probably. Take your phone to customer care and ask them to open it and verify.

You don't have to worry about this, actually there is a sensor in Nokia N8 which senses the heat of your body so that when your ear is touched with your phone during a phone call, the screen is automatically locked so that no button is touched or clicked accidently when your phone is touched with your ear; it is just due to the sensitivity of the touchscreen display.

sir is it blinks with white screen only or blinks with white screen then shut down?
-if the phone can receive/send text and mms messages while the incoming and outgoing calls become shut down,i think you need to replace the battery because it is weak.use only original battery.
-and if it is blink with white screen only try to reset all settings or reformat your phone,if not work hardware problem go to repair shop.

This just happened to me, the solution is to wiggle the top half a bit (like you wanna break it, but don't break it.) The root of the problem is a loose wire that connects the two phone parts. Mine still goes blank on me but then i wiggle it... just a little bit...
