My pc wont recognise my camers

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.

I cant save the photos in my PC

Connect the supplied USB cable from your camers to theUSB port on your computer.
The computer will see the camera as an external storage device or anexternal mass storage device, you can then open the photo folder on your camera and copy the photos to your computer. If the photos are stored on a mini or micro SD memory cardthen -An alternate method is to remove the SD memorycard from the camera and insert it into an USB card reader then connect itto the USB port on your computer. Youcan then open the photo folder on the SD memory card and copythe photo to your computer.

Does not work when cpnnected to the external USB hub. Says "Camers Off". Works OK when connected directly to MacBook USB port? Why?

Make sure your USB hub is working. Confirm by using the with other applications such as connecting your thumb drive or other connections. If other connections will work, then your external hub is okay. Other thing, if your usb hub runs at lower speed than 2.0, new gadgets connection may fail.

Cant find pics

The simplest solution is to buy a cheap SD card reader and connect it to your computer. Then put the SD memory card from the camera in the reader. Windows XP will open a dialogue window asking you what you want to do with the pictures.

The caa-03040s has a relatively slow USB connection. Get a USB 2.0 card reader and connect it to a USB 2.0 port on the computer for much faster download speeds than the camera is capable of.
