here are ways to learn and find answers.
1: ask Dell.com first. we are NOT THEM.
2: google all day. see up to 7 radicall ways to cure it and not one works, (a fact)
3: youtube it, make sure its your D620 model they are talking about or it will not work.

1. Run "lusrmgr.msc" to reset Dell Windows password.
In Windows 8/7/Vista/XP, there is an easy way to reset a forgotten user account password by just run the lusrmgr.msc. But you need to login your server or laptop with an account which has admin privileges. Note that resetting password with this tip might cause irreversible loss of information for the user account. This data loss will occur the next time the user logs off. You should use this command only if a user has forgotten his or her password and does not have a password reset disk.
Step 1. Start your PC and log on with an available user account which has admin privileges.
Step 2. Click "start" button, press "Win+R" to open "Run box". Type in "lusrmgr.msc" and hit Enter.
Step 3. Local Users and Computers appears, all user accounts of your computer will be list, right-click your user name and select "reset password".
Step 4. Type in a new password and type it again to confirm it, click OK.
After restarting you can login that user account with new password.

Im not sure I understood perfect ..but I think you ask about how to remove an user password on an account with admin right .the way to do it ..is to get to control panel ..and select user accounts..and in the window select the account you want to make changes into ..A window with tasks will appear and one of the tasks is about removing the password ..You probably need the password for to remove this one ...Another way ..is if you have 2 admin user accounts ..log in yours..and you go in the same place ..and when you select the other account you can remove its password or delete it completely using no password or using your password., cause you have admin rights too ..
If you only have one admin account and you do not know the password and you want to eliminate it and does not let you to do it cause it asks for password ..Try to go to the first page of the user accounts ..and select to make an account ...select the name and the administrator right s..and no password ...(you only use it to make changes in the other ) select not to make files private so you do not have many to delete after doing the job ..and click ok ..After that restart and log in the new account and go back to users..and you will have the possibility to delete the account with password or delete its password from this account ..It might work ..if I remember right ..

there is always a cell on the motherboard, remove it and place it back, this will reset / finish all the passwords on the pc

If you are referring to your Windows user account password then you can try the information below.

You can start your computer is safe mode, you can do that by pressing the F8 key will you boot the computer.

Then you select the ADMIN account, if the admin account is password protected then you need to contact the computer manufacturer since that password is created when they install the Windows on your computer.

If there is no password then you are lucky then you can remove or change the password for your user account, just open the control panel then select USER ACCCOUNT and select your user name then you can change or disable the password.

You can also search you utube or google on how to reset forgotten password.

Two possible solutions 1.(Easier) If you have not setup the main admin account with a password, most non technical people don't know about this account. You can login as the super admin and delete the password off of your user account. To do this simply power on the computer, while it is powering on tap F8 repeatedly until you get a text menu. Select Safe Mode and hit enter. You will get your usual login screen but there will be another user "Administrator", click on that one. Hopefully if no one has set a password for it it will login just fine. Now goto control panel and user accounts and select your account and change or delete your password.
If you cant get into the super admin account.... 2. Requires another computer

• Download the Hiren Boot CD http://www.hirensbootcd.net/
• Burn the image file to a CD
• Put the CD into the computer that you need to wipe the password
• Make sure your boot order in BIOS is set to CD/DVD first
• If you burned your image correctly you will get a text menu
• Select "NTFS Tools"
• Select "Offline NTFS password tool"
• It will load a bunch of stuff" just let it go"
• Follow the prompts ( You will basically select your user account and it should you to enter a * then hit enter) this should blank your password.
• GTG (Note you may have to blank it a couple of times, it doesnt always work the first time) and dont change the password just blank it

No battery taking out, no power removing just turn on your PC and do the following:

when password box appears press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and you see a login prompt write Administrator
and there is no password press OK and you are in Admin's account go to control panel choose user accounts choose yours and remove password

When you boot keep pressing F8, go to safe mode , log in as administrator, go to controlpanel, users, select your user name, select change password, type in new password, close everything out, re-boot. type in new password at prompt.

This isnt a motherboard problem actually.

The user you are useing to run the setup doesnt have admin rights.

Try makeing a new user and make sure it is set to computer administrator. If you cant do that then your user doesnt have admin rights.

If you can do that then go to the new user and try to run the setup on it.

Its possible your pc has a virus or something has removed administrator rights from your user.


how to check does my user have admin rights?
press start -> run -> type: cmd -> type: whoami
it will show something similiar to this:
