When I turn on my TV
it goes straight to the menu screen. You can still hear sound but no
picture. When I try to exit you see the picture for about a second then
it automatically flashes back to the menu screen. Even if I try to use
the functions in the menu screen it flashes right back to the main menu
screen. Very frustrated...need help!
Is this a plasma TV ? If so remove the back cover of tv and unplug the cable that plugs into the IR board from the SSB that receives the signal from the remote. If it stops you panel is causing interference with the signal. If it doesn't your problem is in you SSB. you might see if there is a software upgrade offered by the producer of that TV.
Sounds like the button cluster has an issue...see if the menu button is stuck and if not, repair may be needed to disassemble the TV and have a look at the control section.
